Burglary, Theft in Lewis Run

Police are investigating a burglary at Kightlinger Excavating in Lewis Run.

They say sometime between 6:30 Saturday evening and 6:30 this morning someone went into the garage at 30 Main Street and stole a number of inspection stickers, invoices and money.

Police say force was not used to get into the building. No damage was reported. The estimated loss is $420.

Police are also investigating a theft at Allegheny Bradford in Lewis Run.

Sometime between May 13 and June 13 someone removed two 2 ½ liter bottles of a known chemical from a storage area.

The estimated value of the items is $32.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact Kane-based state police.
