Man Admits to Abusing Baby Daughter

An 11 month old girl is hospitalized in critical condition and her father has admitted to causing the injuries.

According to papers filed in District Judge Bill Todd’s office, 29-year-old Timothy Maben of Port Allegany told police that while playing with the baby he put her on her back on the floor and started spinning her around. When he let go of her, her head hit a baseboard, causing severe bruising. He told police he has also grabbed the baby by the legs and squeezed while she was crying, and grabbed her face hard enough to leave bruises on her cheeks.

The incidents happened over the last two weeks. He was arrested after personnel at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital called police when the baby was brought in with bleeding on her brain and severe bruising to her entire body. The doctor also found that a rib had been broken and was already starting to heal.

Maben, who already served time for physically abusing his son back in 2005, is jailed on $75,000 cash bail.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
