UWBA Day of Action Set for September

The United Way of the Bradford Area is currently recruiting volunteers to give some of their time on Saturday, September 28th as part of the organization’s 3rd annual Day of Action.

“Although we do not have the completed list of projects and activities at this point, we are excited to solicit our community members to give an hour of two of their time to support our area,” said Executive Director Mandi Wilton Davis. “We do know that we’ll be hosting ‘Stuff the Truck’ supply drives at local stores, where we’ll be collecting items needed by some of our partner agencies, as well as projects for other local non-profits.”

Interested parties are encouraged to contact Davis at the United Way office by calling 368-6181. Volunteers may also sign up at www.uwbanews.org.

“We’d love to have local groups or clubs participate together,” said Davis, “especially some of our younger community members. Our goal is to combine the time and talents of 200 individuals to make an impact in the Bradford area.”

The Day of Action is being sponsored by American Refining Group, the Blaisdell Foundation and the Pembroke Foundation.
