Man Jailed for Making Threats at
Nursing Home Waives Hearing

The Eldred man accused of threatening Bradford Manor staff members with a knife this past August has waived his preliminary hearing.

44-year-old Shannon Shroyer threatened the staff with a pocket knife, tried to kiss one nurse’s neck and inappropriately touched another nurse, damaged IV equipment and hit a member of the nursing staff in the eye with an item he threw, according to papers filed in District Judge Rich Luther’s office.

He also said someone was going to die if they didn’t give him back his Black Velvet and cigarettes, and spit in the face of a police officer who was taking him out of the building.

Shroyer remains jailed on $50,000 bail.
