Shelia Barnes

Shelia Ann Barnes, 54, of 70 Willow Road, Tequesta, FL, formerly of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Hospice of Palm Beach County in Jupiter, FL with family and friends by her side.

Born June 1, 1959, in Bradford she was the daughter of the late Robert J. Barnes and Sara A. (Matthews) Barnes-Campbell. Ms Barnes was a 1977 graduate of Bradford Area High School. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in French Language and then graduated from Monterey University in CA with a Master's Degree in International Studies. She had been employed with World Wide Assistance, a Business Travel Medical Association in Alexandria, VA and for Wells Fargo in San Francisco, as a Vice President of Small Business Products. She then moved to Florida and worked as an administrative assistance for AFLAC.

Surviving are her beloved corgis, Sweet Pea and Pickles, her two sisters, Sharon L. (Tom) Russell, of Erie, and Jan M. (Ira) Knight, of Smethport, one brother, R. James (Jane) Barnes, of Bradford, two nieces, Jennifer M. Barnes and Megan A. Barnes, her stepfather, John (Nancy) Campbell of Custer City, and one stepsister, Kathy M. Campbell, of Los Angeles CA.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main Street, at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced that agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, assisted by local police officers from across Erie County and the Pennsylvania State Police, are in the process of arresting 41 suspects linked to a nearly $5 million drug organization operating in and around Erie. Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
