Patty Bove

Patricia A. Bove, 82, of Welch Ave., passed away, Sunday, March 30, 2014, in The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born May 21, 1931, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Melton) Johnson.

In St. Bernard Church she married John A. Bove who survives.

Mrs. Bove attended Bradford High School. She and her husband owned and operated Bove's News Stand on West Washington Street for many years. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and crafting.

In Addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Christine (Pat) Richmond, of North Carolina, Colleen Quinn, of Silver Creek, NY, and Mary Ann Bove, of Bradford, four grandchildren, Cassandra Winter, Jacqueline Horton, Jennifer Therrien and Nicholas McNeil, three great grandchildren, Joseph Horton, Layla Horton and Charles Hallock and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, including Dorothy Ruffner and one brother.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
