Windy Day in the Twin Tiers

Wind had its way with some trees earlier today.

Late this morning near Marilla Reservoir a tree fell onto West Washington Street, blocking one lane of traffic.

A tree also fell onto Pine Grove Road in Port Allegany, blocking the road.

At around 3 p.m. a tree fell on a car on Indian Creek Road in Eldred Township, causing the car to go into a ditch. No one was hurt.

In Chautauqua County, a tree fell onto the roof of a Westfield house. No one was hurt.

Tonight will be windy, too, with gusts as high as 40 miles an hour.
