Accused Port Burglar Waives Hearing

One of the Port Allegany men accused of breaking into Port Beverage and stealing a money bag has waived his preliminary hearing on eight felony burglary- and theft-related charges.

22-year-old David Hurd and his co-defendant were identified through surveillance video posted on Facebook after the break-in on May 7. The money bag had nearly $13,000 in cash and checks in it.

Hurd is in McKean County Jail on $20,000 bail.
