BCPAC to Search for First Full-Time ED

After three decades of presenting concerts, recitals, Broadway shows, and children’s theater, the Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center Board of Directors has charged a search committee with finding and recommending to the board the organization’s first full-time Executive Director.

The search committee is composed of four members of the BCPAC Board of Directors and three community representatives. The BCPAC members are Marcia Morrison, Shane Oschman, Pat Ryan and Jeannine Schoenecker; community representatives are Patricia Colosimo, Ruth McDowell and Ron Orris.

“The volunteers and part-time staff we have had over the years have been hard-working and successful,” said Shane Oschman, president of the BCPAC Board of Directors. “It’s time to bring full attention to the growth and development of BCPAC. In fact, it’s our success - coupled with the loyalty of the community, our donors and corporate sponsors, and our audience - that we are now in this enviable position.”

“Because BCPAC is one of the jewels of this region, we have a responsibility to ensure its viability. And a big part of that future growth depends on engaging a full-time Executive Director,” said Oschman.

The search for a full-time Executive Director is expected to run from July through October, Oschman said. The director’s duties will include planning, staffing and leading the organization’s operations, including fundraising, marketing and program selection. Jim Guelfi, a founding member of the organization who has served as part-time interim executive director since 2007, said, “I’m excited by the prospect of seeing BCPAC move to this next level of professionalism. It’s long been a dream of us who started this organization to see this landmark date. I think this effort is important not only for BCPAC but also for the entire region.”

Founded in 1984, BCPAC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide consistent, high-quality programming that will appeal to a broad regional audience. BCPAC’s 31st season opens in October.

The lineup will be announced in early September.
