PSP: Man Gets Into Two Fights in One Day

A Ulysses man is accused of getting into a fight with one man early Monday morning, and another man Monday night.

State police say 31-year-old Michael Whitney got into a fight with 23-year-old Eric Shaffer at around 1 a.m. on Pleasant Street in Ulysses. Whitney was charged with simple assault. Shaffer was charged with harassment.

At about 9:15 p.m. Whitney got into a fight with 22-year-old Zachary Vetter on North Street in the borough. They were both charged with harassment.

Police say both cases are closed.
