Lewis Run Man Charged with Open Lewdness

Earlier this month police got a report of a man exposing himself at Chapman State Park. Now they believe they have their man, and he’s from Lewis Run.

The incident happened at 12:30 on the afternoon of August 4 when 70-year-old James Hopkins allegedly exposed himself to at least one woman and numerous children. He left after the woman confronted him.

Police say a tip led them to Hopkins and further investigation led to charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness.

Hopkins is free on $25,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 10.
