Meth Lab Found in Trailer Park

Police found a meth lab Saturday morning while they were checking on the welfare of a person at a trailer park.

They were called to Ellicott Estates in Portland at 10:45 a.m. to check on the welfare of a person. When they got there 29-year-old Susan Spontaneo told them there may be a problem with 35-year-old Austin Spyer. When a deputy when inside the trailer he found a working meth lab. Spontaneo, Spyer and 40-year-old Brian Saden were detained while the Chautauqua County Hazmat team, Portland and Brocton fire departments, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the DEA Clandestine Lab Team were called to the scene.

Spontaneo, Spyer and Saden are in jail without bail while authorities decide whether they will be prosecuted at the state or federal level.
