A Bradford man is accused of trying to stab his brother with a couple of screwdrivers because the brother didn’t want him to leave the house with his pregnant wife and two young children while he was drunk.

33-year-old Donny Hoffman attacking his brother late last night on North Center Street, according to papers filed in District Judge Dominic Cercone’s office.

Walter Hoffman told police that after he convinced Donny not to go out with his pregnant wife and kids, he overhead him saying they were going anyway. Later, Donny snapped and attacked Walter with the screwdrivers. Walter was able to subdue his brother, but not before sustaining several injuries.

Donny is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
