Holiday Wreaths: Perfect for Gifts

PORTVILLE, N.Y. - Have you been pining for something to do to get in the holiday spirit? Well, look no further than the Pfeiffer Nature Center.

The Pfeiffer Nature Center is asking all decorators to hit the great outdoors and collect items from nature for its annual holiday wreath sale.

These all-natural wreaths are now on sale until Nov. 21 and can be ordered online at www.pfeiffernaturecenter.org.

The Center will also have a booth at Portville’s Art & Antique Show where you can see a sample of these beautifully finished works of art. This two-day indoor show is held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Portville Central School.

If interested in getting into the action of actually helping to make the wreaths, mark Nov. 20-22 on your calendar and go to the Pleasant Valley Greenhouse.

Volunteers can help for the entire day or a few hours. Come anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

And that is not all. Call the office if you can help with making bows! The Center needs about 275 more. The PNC will provide the materials, just stop in a grab a bag of supplies.

Lastly, mark your calendars for Monday, Dec. 1 – the Center need a few volunteers to help pack and deliver these wonders of nature. Plain wreaths are also available in either Frazier Fir or boxwood for those who want to spruce up their holiday doors.
