Obituary
Lynne Comilla Hinton

Lynne Comilla Hinton of Wendell, NC, passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2014. Lynne fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 24, 1960 in Bradford, PA. She is the daughter of Margaret "Peggy" Comilla of Raleigh, NC and the late Carmen Anthony Comilla.

She was a 1978 graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School and attended Wendell Christian Church. She served as fiscal administrator for the Wake County Public School System and was a devoted employee for over 23 years.

Lynne is survived by her devoted husband and best friend Bruce Hinton; her loving daughter Allison Williams Pearce (Steven) of Knightdale, NC; her loving son Ronald "Rusty" A. Williams III (Ashley) of Knightdale, NC; sisters Lisa Comilla Farina (Richard) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Jennifer Comilla Salada (Gregory) of Jacksonville, FL, and a special sister Sheri Womack (Quinton) of Wake Forest, NC; brothers Carmen A. "Chip" Comilla Jr. and Michael Sturm Comilla of Bradford, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Most of all Lynne was a proud "NeNe" and adored her three grandchildren Cruz M. Pearce, Ayla M. Williams and Sloan A. Pearce. Lynne was blessed to have amazing friends in her life, which stood by her and her family during her courageous battle. A special thank you to her devoted friends Lee Dean, Pat Davenport, Ruth Gentry and her Bible study group, her Wake County Public School family, Dr. Agrawal, Melissa Smith and the entire staff at Duke/Raleigh Cancer Center.

A celebration of her life and visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Maurice Boswell officiating. The Hinton family will receive friends and family after the service from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Hinton residence.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Wendell Christian Church, PO Box 874, Wendell, NC 27591 in memory of Lynne Comilla Hinton.
