Three Sentenced for Skinner Murders
One of the Elmira men charged in connection to the murder of a Chautauqua County couple two years ago will spend 50 years in state prison.
Steven Todd, who was 18 at the time of the murders, would have been sentenced to 32 years had abided by the terms of a plea deal with the district attorney’s office. But he didn’t show up at the trial of Davide Coggins to testify against him as promised.
Coggins was convicted for killing Joyce and Gordon and Skinner, and will be sentenced next month.
Coggins killed the couple while the other three stole numerous items, and then they set the house on fire in April of 2013.
Ricky Knickerbocker was sentenced today to 32 years in prison; Joshua McCcormick 35 years.
