After a week during which he won two games with buzzer-beating shots, St. Bonaventure junior guard Marcus Posley has earned multiple Player of the Week honors. Posley's remarkable performances caught the attention of the national media. He was named national Player of the Week by ESPN college basketball reporter Andy Katz as part of his weekly "3-Point Shot" segment on ESPN.com. Posley was also named national Player of the Week by CBSsports.com college basketball insider Gary Parrish and "Mr. Big Shot" by USA Today writer Scott Gleeson. He also was selected SB Nation Mid-Major Madness Player of the Week. In addition, Posley was selected the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week and the Big 4 Player of the Week. Billy Gardell, co-star of the CBS sitcom Mike & Molly, will be the headline performer for LucyFest 2012. The festival will be held August 1 to 5. Comedienne Paula Poundstone makes a return trip to the festival. She performed during last year's LucyFest. Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, will also be in Jamestown for the festival. Tickets for Gardell's performance will go on sale April 17. Winners of eight straight home games, the Bonnies host league-leader Temple in a nationally televised "White Out" game Wednesday at the Reilly Center. The Reilly Center will host a "White Out" night and athletics department officials encourage everyone in attendance to wear white in support of the Bonnies. The Student Government Association is also sponsoring a canned-food drive. Temple enters the game on an eight-game win streak and sits just outside the Top 25 in the most recent AP poll. St. Bonaventure is 9-1 in the Reilly Center this season, with all but one victory coming by double digits. The game features Co-Atlantic 10 Players of the Week Andrew Nicholson and Ramone Moore, as the senior tandem picked up league honors for their performances last week. Off to a 5-1 start, the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team had another national TV game added to its schedule on Thursday as CBS Sports Network officials announced they will broadcast the Feb. 18 home contest against Xavier. The game against the Musketeers will now begin at 2 p.m., as opposed to the originally scheduled time of 1:30, and is part of a doubleheader with the men against Rhode Island. It will also be Senior Day for both the women's and men's programs. Xavier has won the Atlantic 10 regular-season championship or tournament title each of the last five years, advancing to the NCAA Tournament every season since 2006-07. The game is now the second nationally televised contest the Bonnies have this season as their contest on Jan. 28 at La Salle will also be shown by CBS Sports Network. Andy Rooney, the "60 Minutes" commentator known to generations for his wry, humorous and contentious television essays died today, according to CBS News. He was 92. From CNN: He had been hospitalized after suffering "serious complications" following minor surgery last month. Rooney got his start in journalism during World War II, when he wrote for the Stars and Stripes, and he joined CBS in 1949 as a writer for Arthur Godfrey's radio and television entertainment show. He went on to collaborate between 1962 and 1968 on a series of essays with his friend, the late newsman Harry Reasoner. He joined "60 Minutes" in 1978, according to CBS, beginning decades of show-ending essays on topics as varied as looking for a job ("We need people who can actually do things.
