A Cyclone man was sent to jail for threatening a woman and trying to damage a state police car. Troopers were called to the Cyclone Trailer Park Sunday afternoon, where a 39-year-old woman told them 36-year-old Lenny Beane threatened her during a fight. When police got there and repeatedly told him to calm down he would not, and also tried to damage their cruiser. Beane was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment and sent to McKean County Jail on $5,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

Two people were injured in a one-car crash late Tuesday afternoon on Route 219 in Lewis Run. State police say a car driven by 29-year-old Erica Lapp of Cyclone crossed the center line, went off the road and hit a tree. Lapp was flown to UPMC in Erie for treatment of moderate injuries. A passenger in the car, 26-year-old Matthew Kline of Bradford, was flown to ECMC in Buffalo for treatment of serious injuries. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

Another local teenager has been reported missing. 16-year-old Justin Hess of Cyclone was last seen at 11 p.m. February 22 at his grandmother’s house on Parkside Drive in Limestone. Justin is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He has been known to frequent the Bradford and Port Allegany areas. Anyone with information about Justin’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kane-based state police at 814-778-5555. A Lewis Run girl reported missing on Sunday has been found. A 14-year-old from Cyclone was accidentally shot by a 14-year-old from Bradford when the Bradford teen was testing two handguns that were stolen from the city. Police say the teenagers were on a logging road off Pithole Road when the Cyclone teen was shot in the arm and side. The teen was taken to BRMC and later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. The Bradford teen is facing several charges including reckless endangerment and theft from a motor vehicle. A Cyclone man is in jail for allegedly having sexual contact with a child younger than 16. 19-year-old Chad Yount is charged with felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. The alleged incident happened Sunday. He was arraigned early this morning and sent to jail on $200,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

A Cyclone man escaped injury in an accident Friday morning in Warren County. Police say Scott Bennet was on Route 6 at the Conewango Township line when he fell asleep at the wheel on a curve, left the road and hit a bridge. He was cited for careless driving. ~~~~ A Warren man suffered minor injuries when his car flipped over on Jake's Rocks Road Sunday morning. Police say 27-year-old Anthony Guiffre failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road, hit a tree and rolled over. Guiffre was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
