Steelers fans don’t have to worry about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missing a game for the birth of his baby. Little Ben arrived at 10:06 p.m. Wednesday. Roethlisberger posted a message on his web page Thursday reading: “Ashley and I welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby boy into this world. Benjamin Jr. is 7 lbs., 1 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. A wide receiver at St. Bonaventure turned defensive back with the Steelers, Butler revolutionized the defensive side of the ball and paved the way for the current cornerback position. When he retired in 1959, Butler ranked second on the NFL’s all-time interceptions list with 52. Butler was presented with his Bronze Bust from his oldest son, John, the second of his three symbols of the Hall of Fame. Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jack Butler has been nominated by the Seniors Committee to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 83-year-old and guard Dick Stanfel are the two senior finalists for election in the Hall's Class of 2012. They will join 15 modern-era candidates on the ballot; the other candidates will not be chosen until December. The two seniors do not compete with the modern candidates for a spot in the Hall but are voted on separately and often both seniors are elected. Pittsburgh – Governor Tom Corbett today fulfilled his friendly Super Bowl wager with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker while helping to deliver a $25,000 check on behalf of Coca-Cola to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania and the Sarah Heinz House Boys & Girls Club. Because the Steelers lost the Super Bowl to the Packers, Gov. Corbett, a lifelong Steelers fan, appeared at the check presentation wearing a Green Bay jersey. “I’m here today to pay off a bet. Towel-Hoisting Video New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg followed through with his end of the wager with Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl on the AFC Championship game between the Steelers and the Jets. Bloomberg placed a Terrible Towel on the New York Public Library this morning. He then put on a Steelers jersey while putting together care packages for members of the military returning to Pittsburgh.

Kaye Cowher, wife of former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and current The NFL Today analyst Bill Cowher, died after battling skin cancer. She was 54. Kaye Cowher is survived by her husband and three daughters, Megan, Lauren and Lindsay. The couple met at North Carolina State in 1976 where both were student-athletes.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger released the following statement regarding his suspension by the NFL: "The Commissioner’s decision to suspend me speaks clearly that more is expected of me. I am accountable for the consequences of my actions. Though I have committed no crime, I regret that I have fallen short of the values instilled in me by my family. I will not appeal the suspension and will comply with what is asked of me ─ and more. Missing games will be devastating for me. I am sorry to let down my teammates and the entire Steelers fan base. I am disappointed that I have reached this point and will not put myself in this situation again.
