35th Annual Autumn Classic

The Cameron County Red Raider Marching Band was one of three that performed in exhibition tonight during the 35th Annual Autumn Classic at Parkway Field. The other two were Bradford and Otto-Eldred. Cameron County has been selected to be the official state representative band for the 2014 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii, on December 7. If tonight's performance is any indication, they will do us proud! As for the results for the bands that were being judged: Class A: Coudersport 3rd, Port Allegany 2nd, Saegertown 1st Class AA: Cochranton 1st Class AAA: General McLane 2nd, Iroquois 1st You can see more pictures at Facebook.com/1490wesb . Bona Women's Soccer in Bradford Sunday

St. Bonaventure's women's soccer game against Kent State this Sunday, Aug. 24, has been moved to Bradford Area High School's Parkway Field. The start time will remain 1 p.m. The change was necessary because crews are still completing renovations to St. Bonaventure's McGraw-Jennings Field. The work is expected to be finished in time for the Bonnies' next scheduled home game on Aug. 27. While installation of the new turf should be done by the end of this week, there have been delays, mainly weather-related, with other work. Autumn Classic Set for September 21

The 34th Annual Autumn Classic Tournament of Bands is set for September 21 at Parkway Field. Marching bands of Otto-Eldred, Sheffield, Cameron County, Iroquois, Cochranton, Coudersport, Port Allegany and Maplewood high schools, as well as the Bradford Marching Owls, are scheduled to perform. The Marching Owls' program is "Around the World in 8 Minutes." This year's drum majors are Mike Smith and Laura Tingley. Gates open at 4 p.m. The opening ceremonies are at 5:15 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens, and are available at Man's World, Northwest Savings Bank on West Washington Street, The Tin Ceiling Gift Shoppe, Tina's Hallmark, Worth W. Smith and Wright's Music Shed. Tickets are also available on the day of the show at $6 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Food will be available. Port Allegany Rolls Past Clarion

Port Allegany beat Clarion 47-8 Saturday afternoon at Bradford's Parkway Field to capture the District 9 Class A title. The Gators move on to the quarterfinals on Friday, when they play Sharpsville at a site to be announced. See more photos at Shawn Murray Photography .

Big 30 Banquet

Former NFL player Seth Payne poses for a picture with Voice of the Owls Frank Williams during the Big 30 Banquet Thursday at Pitt-Bradford. Payne played 5 years with the Jacksonville Jaguars and 5 years with the Houston Texanas, and is now an assistant coach with the Portivlle Panthers, The annual Don Raabe Big 30 Charities Classic is at 7 p.m. Saturday at Parkway Field. You can hear the game on 1490 WESB, 100.1 The HERO and live online at WESB.com . The parade starts at 2 p.m. on Main Street. A tailgate party follows at Callahan Park.
