Man Grabs Bar Owner by Throat

A Bradford man is accused of grabbing the owner of the Hotel Holley by the throat after being told he wasn’t allowed on the property. Court records say 50-year-old Mark Andress was told by owner Joseph Troutman that he wasn’t allowed on the property and, as Andress entered the main lobby he shoved Troutman and grabbed him by the throat. The incident happened last month. Andress was arraigned this morning. Andress is charged with simple assault and harassment, and is free on unsecured bail. Woman Accused of Drinking on the Job

A Bradford woman is accused of drinking while tending bar at the Hotel Holley. 40-year-old Ida Jo Bundy is charged with a misdemeanor count of drinking alcohol while tending bar stemming from an alleged incident on May 4. If she is found guilty she would have to pay a fine of between $100 and $500. Bundy is scheduled for a preliminary arraignment on Monday in District Judge Dominic Cercone’s office. Causing Ruckus at Hotel Holley

A Bradford man is accused of assaulting several people and damaging property at the Hotel Holley early this morning. Jeffery Morton allegedly pushed an elderly handicapped man to the ground; punched another man in face multiple times; and punched other man in the head and face. According to papers filed in District Judge Dominic Cercone’s office one man saw Morton assaulting a woman in the hallway and went to help her when Morton punched him in the face, breaking multiple bones in his face. The victim had to be taken to a trauma center for treatment. A second man went to help the first man when Morton allegedly punched him, causing swelling on the side of his head. Morton also allegedly threw a bar stool at the bartender, nearly hitting her and destroying the cash register. Police say when they got to the bar area of the Holley it was “in total disarray,” and that’s when they saw the elderly, handicapped man who had to use a cane, attempting to get up off the floor. Attempted Murder Charge, Others
Added in Holley Hammer Attack

The man accused of attacking another man with a hammer at the Hotel Holley is now charged with attempted murder. Additional charges were filed today against 19-year-old Larry Shroyer Jr. of Bradford. He is also now charged with robbery; criminal solicitation of robbery for allegedly asking Kip Cobb to assist him in a robbery; theft of cash from the victim, 56-year-old James White of Buffalo; and ethnic intimidation. District Judge Dominic Cercone explained the new charges to Shroyer via video conference and increased his bail from $100,000 to $150,000. Shroyer is scheduled to appear in Central Court on February 2. This will be the first day Central Court will be held in the McKean County Courthouse instead of District Judge Bill Todd’s office in Smethport. Shroyer is accused of hitting White with a hammer more than 20 times on Sunday in a room at the Holley. White is still being treated at UPMC Hamot. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

Hammer Attack at Hotel Holley

A Buffalo man was seriously injured Sunday morning after being hit numerous times with, what Bradford City Police described as, a “hammer-like instrument” at the Hotel Holley. 56-year-old James White had been hit 18 times, and was unresponsive when he was found in his room. White was flown to UPMC Hamot for treatment. After speaking with witnesses and concerned citizens police found 19-year-old Larry Shroyer Jr. at a house on Bank Street and charged with aggravated assault and related offenses. Man Jailed for Assaultinig Two Men

A Bradford man is in jail after a fight at the Hotel Holley early Saturday morning. In a fax, Bradford City Police say 24-year-old James Bunce seriously injured Mike Reynolds and David Benjamin. Reynolds and Benjamin were first taken to BRMC for treatment, but Reynolds had to be taken to Hamot Medical Center for treatment of multiple fractures to his jawbone that required a specialist. Bunce is charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned by District Judge Dominic Cercone and sent to McKean County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
