Update on Isa

Image
The searchers did not find Isa on Saturday afternoon, but they did find out how she's been traveling around town. From Talk About Bradford : There is a storm drain at the very top of Lincoln avenue where the street ends, and her little tiny paw prints go inside a round drain big enough for her, but too small for other wild animals. This drain come out on Parkview avenue which runs in between both sets of Rose terrace apartments (the upper and the lower). Isa has been traveling that drain which I believe catches water run off from the hill, and most likely had no water running off when it was too cold. This gave her ways to disappear and reappear, lol, as well as a place to get out of the cold and the snow and wind." SPCA Humane Officer Tony Danias has given a trap -- and a blanket from Isa's previous owners - to a friend of his in the area who is an excellent trapper. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed. In the meantime, if you see Isa you can call the McKean County ...

Searching for Isa

Image
As you may have heard on Ad Line and read on Talk About Bradford , Isa, a yorkie-poo mix dog has been on the run for nearly 2 months. She's been sighted all around Bradford – most recently in the Euclid and Homestead avenue area yesterday afternoon. Today, several concerned people have organized a search party to help find Isa. If you're interested in helping, meet at the Dresser's parking lot on Euclid Avenue at 2 p.m. today. ~~~ In a related story ... HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A golden retriever named Buck that darted from his owners last summer after being spooked by a train whistle and went missing for six months is back home in Washington state, thanks to several residents of rural north-central Montana. For the full story, go to The Associated Press .

More Nice People to Add ...

Pam Fredeen, Don Fredeen (no, I'm not sucking up. They really are nice!), Jeannie Satterwhite, Mike McAvoy, Paula at the Jackson Avenue Crosby's, Kimberly Weinberg. I know someone already mentioned Father Gallina, but he's on my list, too. And since the mayor mentioned my uncle, George Bove (and I totally agree with that), I'm going to add his daughters -- Kathy, Karen, Kris and Karla. I'm sure I'll add more later. You can add yours HERE .

More Nice People...

Thank you Mayor Riel . I'm adding his wife Janel, who along with creating the world's greatest salad, is very nice. I agree with the person who named Mrs. Pionzio, too! If you haven't added a name or names to the list yet, what are you waiting for? Talk About Bradford . (You can add 'em here, too.) Updating to say -- Kim, you and your family are on my list, too -- as are Dennis and Dawn Morrisroe & family, Shane, Barb and Roy Pedersen and Ron Johnson. And I'm adding Nanci Garris, Marty Causer (having an office here counts, doesn't it?) and Bob Onuffer & family.

Great Topic at TAB

"Walking Man" has started a fantastic topic on Talk About Bradford . Nicest people in Bradford -- name names! What are you waiting for? Go respond! By the way, I vote for my mom, and I bet some people who remember her as the school nurse at St. Bernard's would agree. I made the list! WOW! (Thanks Brian. I think you're pretty darn nice, too.) Even better than making the list myself is one of Tom Riel's choices -- My Uncle George. :)
