02/19/08 - Hey, Where Did Chapel Ridge Go?
News 4 Meteorologist Mike Cejka wasn't kidding when he said Tuesday would be windy. Mike says we can expect more wind, and bitter wind chills, for the rest of the day and on Wednesday.
02/18/08 - AG Warns of 'Mystery Shopper' Scam
Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett says there's a scam going on in which people are duped into thinking they'll be "mystery shoppers."
Corbett says consumers are getting official-looking notices saying they've been selected for a program in which they'll get paid to shop at major retailers and evaluate the service. He says they get realistic-looking bad checks. They're told to deposit the checks into their bank accounts, then use a wire transfer to send the money to the scam artist —as part of a "training assignment."
Corbett says the typical scam instructs someone to wire $3,000 to $4,000, often to an address in Canada.

02/05/08 - Reaction to Rendell's Budget Address
Senate President Pro Tem Joe Scarnati speaks with reporters (including RadioPA's Matt Paul, left) following Governor Ed Rendell's budget address Tuesday. Scarnati says "Good effective government does not include taxing, borrowing and spending. They have to be controlled, and they have to be used in the best way for our economy." As for Rendell's economic stimulus plan, Scarnati says "We don't necessarily agree with where the governor wants to go with his 400 dollar checks, we're willing to put this on the table and have a discussion on how best to move our economy on." Scarnati is in favor of reducing the Personal Income Tax.
