Amber Alert Hoax

From the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office:

The following text message is being circulated via cell phones in the Western New York area:

"AMBER ALERT! 2 little girls kidnapped around noon. Suspect is driving brown jeep libery. License plate # is 43-6519. PLEASE FORWARD! in catt county."

Please be advised this is NOT a real Amber Alert. Any information regarding the origin of this message should be reported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office. 716-938-9191.

THIS WAS ALSO PASSED THROUGH NORTHWESTERN PA.THE ONLY THING THAT WAS DIFFERENT WAS THE COUNTY.ALL THE OTHER INFO WAS THE SAME.

Yesterday's Amber Alert hoax appears to come from an actual Amber Alert in Townsend Wisconsin on Saturday that was modified to identify Cattaraugus County, according to sheriff's deputies.
In Montana, there was a search underway for a mother and her two daughters. The suspect was driving a Jeep Liberty with a matching license plate number to the one in the hoax.
Sheriff Dennis John is encouraging everyone to check the New York State Amber Alert website before forwarding messages like this in the future.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
