American Refining Group Pumps Millions into Local Economy
Everyday on the air, we tell our listeners the price American Refining Group pays for a barrel of Penn Grade crude oil. During Wednesday night's Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce Dinner, ARG Chief Operating Officer Harvey Golubock said the refinery buys 3 million barrels of crude a year – two-thirds of it from local people. He says "three million barrels of crude a year at 100 dollars a barrel – That's 300 million dollars – almost a million dollars a day in purchases we make – two-third of which happens locally." The other one-third is shipped in from Ohio.
