Supervisor Cited for Ethics Violations
A Highland Township Supervisor has been cited for violating the state Ethics Act.
Supervisor Chairman Charles Vaughn is accused of voting on some township construction projects that were bid on by a company co-owned by his son. The Ethics Commission report also says that K&B Construction was selected to complete eight projects in the township that were not put out for bid. The state Ethics Commission, based in Harrisburg, began investigating the case two years ago. Vaughn has chosen not to appeal the commission's decision, which orders him to pay more than 7 thousand dollars to the state within a year.
