Charges Filed in Gang Assault

Four people are facing charges in connection with the Tuesday morning gang assault on a 17-year-old Olean boy. Police say the boy used a pocket knife to stab three people in a Buffalo Street house so he could escape. They say 19-year-old Richard Withey, 21-year-old Bruce Hanson a 16-year-old Olean boy and a 17-year-old Olean girl worked together to trap the victim in the house so they could beat him up because he allegedly insulted a girl in the house. The victim suffered cuts to his head that required stitches, as well as other injuries.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
