Kartesz Partner Pleads Guilty

Another business partner of former Bradford landlord Frank Kartesz has pleaded guilty in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme that cheated people out of more than $1 million. 35-year-old Greg Finney pleaded guilty to fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. Kartesz pleaded guilty to the same charges and is scheuduled for sentencing on September 18. 60-year-old Robert Dodsworth is serving a 6-year term in federal prison for his part in the scheme.

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced that agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, assisted by local police officers from across Erie County and the Pennsylvania State Police, are in the process of arresting 41 suspects linked to a nearly $5 million drug organization operating in and around Erie. Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
