Man, 70, Fights Off Burglars

Maybe this man got his inspiration – and chutzpah -- from the 85-year-old woman who held a teenage burglar at gunpoint last week and made him call 9-1-1. A 70-year-old man fought off two burglars as they bound his legs with duct tape, so they left his suburban Pittsburgh home empty-handed. Rudolph Kolder says a man and woman entered his home on Monday and sat on the living room couch, where the man pulled a knife and the woman tried to bind his legs. Kolder says he continued to struggle and the pair fled. Then Kolder crawled to his door pleading for help. Kolder suffered some scrapes and bruises on his face, but did not seek medical treatment. The man and woman are still at large.
