Plea in Pizza Man Bomb Case
Kenneth Barnes is expected to plead guilty Wednesday to conspiracy in the bank robbery that led to the collar-bomb death of an Erie pizza deliveryman 5 years ago. Delivery man Brian Wells told police he had been forced at gunpoint to wear a bomb around his neck and rob the bank. As police waited for the bomb squad, the device exploded, killing Wells. The alleged mastermind of the plot is 59-year-old Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong. A federal judge last month ruled she's not mentally competent to stand trial, but that could change depending on how she responds to medication and treatment.
