Escaped Inmate Captured
The escaped Chautauqua County Jail inmate who drove away in a county-owned vehicle last week has been captured in West Virginia. 24-year-old Lucas Hull was picked up at about 10 o'clock last night close to the Virginia/West Virginia border near Roanoke, Virginia. Hull was on supervised work release at Chautauqua County's Ellery Landfill on August 26 when he stole a county-owned dump truck that had the keys in it. He was originally serving time for possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Additional details just released: Troopers found Hull hiding in the attic of his uncle's home in Neola. Police were searching the area after they found a stolen SUV with Pennsylvania plates.
