Fillmore Man Sent to Prison

A Fillmore man will spend then next 5 to 15 years in state prison for helping another man commit a murder in the Town of Freedom. Thomas Burrows was sentenced Tuesday for criminal facilitation and making false statements for helping Robert Secrist when he shot and killed Salamanca resident Therin Jimerson in July of last year. Secrist pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and is serving 25 years to life in prison for shooting Jimerson. The incident happened at the home of Secrist's ex-girlfriend, Krista Brown. Jimerson was Brown’s boyfriend at the time of the shooting.
