Malcolm Kysor Pleads Guilty

A convicted murderer has pleaded guilty to escaping from a northwestern Pennsylvania medium-security state prison.

Authorities say 54-year-old Malcolm Kysor escaped from the State Correctional Institution at Albion on Nov. 25, 2007, by hiding in a trashcan that was taken from the prison and picked up by a farmer who collects food scraps.

He was picked up in a Bakersfield, Calif., park last April. He had been serving a life sentence for a 1981 murder in Erie County.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
