Brown Released by Reno Bighorns

The former NBA player and Syracuse University star caught up in a Buffalo drug raid has been released by the NBA Development League.

29-year-old Damone Brown of the Reno Bighorns was released so he can focus on "personal business," said Jason Glover, team president and assistant coach.

Brown is accused of leasing a safe deposit box at Citizens Bank in Buffalo that was used by a drug kingpin to store proceeds. Authorities seized $170,000 from the box before Brown's arrest in Reno.

In U.S. District Court in Reno on Thursday, Brown was released on his own recognizance pending a March 11 preliminary hearing in Buffalo.

FBI agent Peter Orchard was shot and wounded Thursday during the roundup of suspects. He's been released from the hospital.

31 people were charged with participating in the ring.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
