Buffalo International Film Festival

“These are the rarest and most valuable pieces of Walt Disney art in existence,” said Ed Summer, founder and president of the Buffalo International Film Festival, which is presenting the daylong celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of Mickey Mouse. “They represent the first known drawings of Mickey Mouse as a fully defined character.

While that would be an exciting find, the story board looks in very good condition for a story board that is over 80 years old.
In my experience of old documents, Artists story boards get fairly scruffy and marked very quickly -they would also have a number of different sketches of a new character .Is there documentary evidences of the bona fides of these sketches ?Or are they just of museum quality ?
