Sister, Brother to be Tried Together

The trial for the brother and sister accused of killing the woman's estranged husband is set to start on May 11 in Warren County.

Susan Yeager of Tionesta and Cory Altman of Endeavor are both charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the December 5 shooting death of Shawn Yeager.

Altman faces additional charges of possession of a firearm and cruelty to animals.

According to court documents, Susan Yeager had repeatedly asked her brother to kill her estranged husband. She then allegedly enlisted the help of another man, Robert Pessia of Warren who faces the same charges as Yeager.

Pessia will be tried separately, but no date for that trial has been scheduled yet.

Authorities say Yeager hatched the plot because she didn't think she was getting enough time with her sons. Her sons found their father's dead body.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
