Genealogy Club Looking for Ideas

Robert 'Bunny' McLean of Emporium was among those who wrote ideas down to improve exhibits at the Little Museum in Sterling Run during Saturday's Cameron County Genealogy Club meeting. An archivist recommended that displays contain more historical information. The project will be worked on over the next few months.

Attorney General Kelly announces arrests in "Operation Border Bargains;" 19 charged in Ohio to PA meth lab & pill-shopping investigation ERIE - Agents from the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, along with officers from local police departments across Erie County, are in the process of arresting 19 Pennsylvania and Ohio residents allegedly involved in two separate interstate methamphetamine production and pill-shopping networks. Attorney General Linda Kelly said the 15-month long investigation, known as "Operation Border Bargains," focused on organized efforts to conceal the purchase of large quantities of pseudoephedrine - a primary ingredient for meth production which is most commonly found in various cold and allergy medicines. PwC Grant to Support Career Mentoring

A grant from the global professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers is supporting a new career mentoring program designed to recruit and retain minority accounting students in St. Bonaventure University’s School of Business. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) representatives were on campus recently for a presentation to all accounting majors on career readiness strategies, and to recognize three freshmen who have been chosen as the program’s inaugural participants: Thomas Green of Rochester, Dominic Greene of the Bronx, and Michael Marin of East Elmhurst, N.Y. The PwC grant was awarded to Dr. Susan Anders, professor of accounting at St. Bonaventure and chair of its Accounting Department, and Dr. Carol M. Fischer, professor of accounting and associate dean of business, to support their Accounting Scholars Program.
