Track & Field Event in Smethport

The annual North Tier League Championships in Track & Field will be held Friday at Smethport High School. The event starts at 4 p.m. and will go until about 9:30 p.m.

Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students.

Schools competing will be Smethport, Port Allegany, Otto-Eldred, Coudersport, Cameron County, Northern Potter, Oswayo Valley and Sheffield.

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child. Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
