Emporium Man Hurt in Crash

An Emporum man suffered moderate injuries in an accident at 11:45 this morning on Route 120 just west of Beechwood road in Shippen Township.

Police say a pickup truck driven by 77-year-old Robert Jenkins went out of control while rounding a curve, spun around and rolled over an embankment.

Jenkins was taken to Elk Regional Health Center for treatment of his injuries.
Police say charges are pending.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
