Cops: Man Shoved Woman into Dryer

A Genesee man is in jail after being accused of threatening a woman and shoving her into a clothes dryer.

State police say 18-year-old Derrick Barker threatened the 41-year-old woman at his Rocks Road home, pushed her down a hallway and into a bedroom. He then allegedly put her in a headlock and shoved her into the dryer.

The victim was able to free herself and run to a neighbor’s house.

Barker is charges with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was unable to post $50,000 bail.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
