Eldred Man Facing Charges in NY

An Eldred man is accused of trying to hit two people with his car in Ellicott, New York, on Sunday.

37-year-old Ryan Brooks is charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with physical evidence and trespassing.
Police say there was a child present when Brooks tried to hit the people with his car. They say when he was taken to the police station for processing he tampered with evidence.

When he was being taken to Chautauqua County Jail, police found a small amount of crack cocaine.

Brooks remains in jail in Mayville.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
