Reports: Billions Could Come from Shale
As we've been tellilng you on 1490 WESB today, a newly released report by the American Petroleum Industry claims that 280,000 jobs and $6 billion dollars can be added to the economy due to gas reserves in the Marcellus Shale.
A large crowd is expected to attend a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency hearing in Cononsburg, PA, tonight on a controversial the natural gas drilling technique of hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking."
A hearing will also take place in the Binghamton, NY, area with the next few weeks.
