Westfield Woman Facing Charges

A Westfield, New York, woman is accused of trying to hit a sheriff’s deputy who was trying to arrest her early this morning.

Deputies say they were called to Sunset Bay for a report of two women fighting at about 1 a.m. While they were talking to 20-year-old Alexa McMurray she attempted to hit one of the officers. As she was being taken into custody, she tried to fight with deputies and had to be restrained.

McMurray then refused to provide any information to deputies about her identity. She was issued appearance tickets and released to a family member after they confirmed her identity.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
