Woman Combative With Salamanca Police
A Latrobe, Pennsylvania woman was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with DWI under Leandra's Law, because her 9-year old son was in her vehicle. Salamanca police say that after they arrested 48 year-old Katherine Kappel she became combative and injured an officer. Police say Kappel also smeared blood in a city jail cell. She was sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $3,000 bail.

Salamanca Man Charged After Domestic Incident
A Salamanca man was arrested late Saturday night after a domestic incident on Hancock Street in Salamanca. Police say 32 year-old William Henry was charged with harassment and criminal mischief. Henry was jailed on bail.

Portland Man Punches and Kicks Deputies
Chautauqua County sheriff?s deputies had to use pepper spray Sunday on a Portland man who punched and kicked them after an accident in Brocton. Six deputies were needed to restrain 18 year-old Joshua Havilesko, who also damaged a police cruiser during the arrest. Havilesko is facing numerous charges including, resisting arrest, reckless driving and criminal mischief. When deputies tried to interview him he became combative, punched and kicked deputies multiple times before being placed in the patrol car.

Chautauqua Man Arrested on Hate Crime Charges
A Chautauqua man was arrested Saturday and charged with a hate crime after an incident at a gas station. Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies say that 20 year-old Michael Snow shouted racial slurs at another person and smashed a car window during the argument. A ten month old child inside the car was showered with broken glass, but was not injured.

Dayton Man dies in Accident
A man was killed about 7 a. m. Saturday when his vehicle went off the road and struck a tree on Route 322, state police said. The victim?s identity was not released Saturday. Police said the man had just gotten off the night shift from his job in Little Valley and was driving west on Route 322, just outside of South Dayton, where the vehicle crashed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police at Collins.

Man Dies in Cameron County Accident
A Sweet Valley man died in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Jerry Run Road in Sinnamahoning. State Police say an SUV, driven by 38 year-old Chanacey Kleintob lost control of the SUV on a turn, struck an embankment and rolled over. Kleintob was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, including the drivers wife Julie Kleintob, and a juvenile passenger. A second juvenile passenger was uninjured.
