Still Waiting for More Info on Homicide

Olean Police had expected to release more information about this morning’s homicide this afternoon, but they haven’t given us any more details yet.

They have said the victim is a man in his 20s or 30s. He was found dead in his South Second Street home after neighbors reported hearing gunshots at just before 1 a.m.

Another man jumped out of a second story window of the building and is undergoing surgery at ECMC. Police have not said if the second man is another victim, or a suspect.

We’ll have more information as soon as police release it.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
