Man Hurt in Logging Accident
A 37-year-old Ripley man was hurt in a logging accident Friday in the Town of Hanover.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies say a large branch was being moved by a claw-type piece of logging equipment when the branch fell from the claw and hit the man, who was working at the scene.
The man was thrown about 20 feet.
He was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC in Buffalo. Deputies didn’t release his name.
