Pill Thief Pleads Guilty

An Ellicottville man who stole thousands of pills from a drug store has pleaded guilty to burglary, according to a fax sent to WESB and The HERO by the district attorney's office.

20-year-old Cory Jones broke into The Corner Drug Store in Cattaraugus at about 4 o’clock on the morning of May 5 and stole the pills.

Jones will be sentenced November 22.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
