Wilcox Man Charged with Assault

A Wilcox man is accused of hitting a woman in the back with a wooden baseball bat.

Police say 24-year-old Brandon Dilley and 26-year-old Abby O’Rourke were in an argument that turned physical on Sunday morning when Dilley hit O’Rourke with the bat.

Dilley is charged with simple assault and harassment.

Technically, this ought to be considered "aggravated assault" as the perpetrator used a "weapon", in this case, a Baseball bat. (Hey, just citing the law here folks). Obviously, if he'd have struck the victim in the head there could have been a very serious outcome!

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
