Knight Sentenced to 24 Years

The man who killed his girlfriend’s husband in 1994 has been sentenced to 24 years in prison.

56-year-old Randall Knight of Akron, Ohio, was involved in a murder-for-hire plot with the wife of his victim, Andie Gasper.

Knight pleaded guilty in July to crossing state lines to commit the crime, and admitted to fatally stabbing Gasper.

Knight was acquitted of murder by a Cattaraugus County Court jury in 1995, but was arrested earlier this year on the new federal charge after investigators reopened the case.

Investigators say Knight and the victim's wife, Cheryl Gasper, were former lovers. They plotted Gasper's death so that they could share his $100,000 life insurance policy.

Cheryl Gasper pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder and will be sentenced in county court on November 13.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
