Rep. Glenn Thompson in Taiwan
At the invitation of the Fu Jen Catholic University, U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, will be in Taiwan, through Saturday November 13th. The trip is paid for by the University and the Congressman at no taxpayer expense, and has been approved by the Congress.
During the visit, Thompson will meet Timothy Chin-tien YANG, the Taiwanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and KAO hua-Chu, Minister of National Defense. They will also call on WANG Jin-Pyng, President of the Legislative Yuan, the unicameral legislature of the Republic of China.
They will visit Taroko National Park, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Cultural Center, and a military base.
